One of my favorite things I make, inspired by Tim Kreider’s NYT essay “I Know What You Think of Me,” a 8” embroidery hoop with the words “If we want the rewards of love, we have to submit to the mortifying ordeal of being known” stitched on black linen. This hoop is made to order and will take 2-3 weeks. It comes ready to hang.
